Sandra Mariah Power is a prominent Salem Witch and dedicated High Priestess who uses her magic and psychic insight to offer the guidance and wisdom of the old ways of Witchcraft to those around her. She is also a Bard, and has raised her powerful voice to honor the
ancient Gods and Goddesses and to sing her magic into being. Believing Witches are
born, not made, Sandra trusts that all who are
meant to be touched by magic will be.
During her extensive career in Witchcraft, Sandra has appeared on The Travel Channel, Showtime, the BBC, Italy's RAI, and has been featured in The Boston Globe, North Shore Sunday, and The Salem News. By being public, Sandra believes that she can help other Witches gain acceptance.
As part of Salem's annual Festival of the Dead, Sandra hosts Death and Rebirth: Ritual Transformation, a life-altering event that guides participants through a magical ceremony to let go of those things they no longer need and become reborn in Salem! In addition to her work with Festival of the Dead, Sandra co-hosts Salem's annual Sorcery of the Sun with Salem Witch Christian Day , and is co-author with Christian of both this site and Salem Witch.
Sandra has read the Tarot cards for nearly two decades, and also uses other forms of divination such as runes, the I Ching, and the Crystal Ball. Witches are naturally gifted with psychic ability, and Sandra is especially adept at delving into the future as well as the past. Her readings are like a road map to life: where you're coming from, where you're headed, and most importantly, the best way to get to where you want to be.
Sandra grew up on Gallows Hill in Salem—where 19 people were hanged for the charge of Witchcraft. The voices of the accused called to Sandra, who discovered her talent for magic in her early teens. She learned to summon such spirit totems as the wolf, the bat, and the dragon.
Sandra graduated from the Honors Program at Salem State College as an English major. Her talent for writing poetry shines through in her rituals, spells, and meditations. She is owned by two beautiful male cats, Hunter and Arcadian, an Uncle and Nephew in a long line of magical kitties.
Sandra is currently taking students in the ways of Salem Witchcraft. She screens each seeker for their dedication to magic and willingness to open their hearts and minds to new ways of thinking.
